Your Details

Why we need your full address

MPs only act for their own constituents, and their offices check. A letter is only taken seriously as constituency casework if it carries your full postal address, so it goes at the foot of your letter.

We do not store your address. It is written into the letter and sent to your MP. It is not saved in our database, and this browser does not remember it.

Finds your MP and completes the address on your letter. Not stored.

Why write to your MP?

  • MPs act on letters from their own constituents and normally reply
  • 500,000+ people already signed petitions — your letter adds weight
  • MBR Acres was raised when MPs debated animal testing on 27 April 2026 — keep the pressure up
  • A personal letter from a constituent carries more weight than a petition signature

In short

Questions people ask

How do I write to my MP about MBR Acres?
Enter your postcode on the Save the Dogs UK MP tool and it finds your MP using TheyWorkForYou. Pick a letter — beagle breeding and the phase-out of animal testing, the key national infrastructure protest law, or welfare concerns for ASRU — edit it in your own words, then send it from your own email app (recommended) or from the website.
Who is the MP for MBR Acres?
MBR Acres, the beagle breeding facility at Wyton, Cambridgeshire, is in the Huntingdon constituency, represented by Ben Obese-Jecty (Conservative). In the Westminster Hall debate of 27 April 2026 he said the Home Office’s November 2025 audit of MBR Acres and the volume of concerns raised by his constituents “do not tally”. Only his constituents can write to him as their MP.
Do MPs have to reply to letters from constituents?
There is no legal duty for an MP to reply, but MPs normally answer letters from their own constituents and treat them as casework. MPs generally act only for people who live in their constituency, which is why the Save the Dogs UK tool puts your full postal address on the letter. A letter from your own email address reads as one constituent writing, not a mailshot.
Does Save the Dogs UK store my address when I write to my MP?
No. Your full postal address is written into the letter and sent to your MP; it is not saved in the Save the Dogs UK database or remembered by your browser. If you send from your own email app, [email protected] is copied in so the campaign knows which MPs have been written to — that copy includes your address, and you can delete the CC before sending.
What happened at the 27 April 2026 Westminster Hall debate on animal testing?
On 27 April 2026 MPs debated petition 736578, “End testing on dogs and other animals for development of products for human use”, which closed on 30 April 2026 with 121,854 signatures. The Member for Huntingdon raised MBR Acres directly. The Government cited its November 2025 strategy, “Replacing animals in science”, and set no statutory deadline for ending dog testing.
What should a letter to my MP about MBR Acres ask for?
The Save the Dogs UK letter asks MPs to raise MBR Acres in Parliament, press the Home Office on its November 2025 audit, seek an independent review of MBR Acres’ section 2C establishment licence under the Animals (Scientific Procedures) Act 1986, back statutory deadlines for ending the breeding and use of dogs in experiments, including “Herbie’s Law”, and reform how the regulator, ASRU, is funded.
