Four weeks. Two thousand dogs. Not one word.
We wrote to MBR Acres in good faith, in public, and in peace. We gave them four weeks to reply. The deadline passed at midday on 19 July 2026. They did not respond.
Their silence is an answer. A company that cannot spare one letter for the two thousand dogs in its sheds has shown the public exactly how much compassion operates inside them.
What the letter said
- Dated 20 June 2026, addressed to MBR Acres and copied to its parent companies, customers and the Cambridgeshire authorities. Posted by recorded delivery and hand-delivered.
- A direct, peaceful ask: meet us — at a time, place and on terms entirely of your choosing — and negotiate an end to beagle breeding at Wyton, including an offer to buy the remaining dogs outright.
- A four-week window for a substantive reply.
- Signed publicly by thousands of people. Written in good faith, within the law, with legal review.
MBR Acres let the deadline pass without a reply — to us, to the signatories, to anyone.
What happens now
We offered dialogue. They chose silence. That choice is now part of the public record — and it changes nothing about our resolve.
The campaign continues: in the open, within the law, and louder than before.
MP pressure. ASRU transparency. Parliamentary motions. Public awareness, street by street. Every route stays open except the one MBR Acres just closed — the easy way out.
