Marches & events
Nothing moves this like people in the street. Ridglan Farms in Wisconsin closed after a public campaign that refused to go home; the same company that owns MBR Acres is now being marched on in two countries at once — the March for Animals walking 207 miles from Albany to Marshall BioResources in North Rose, New York, and us walking to its gates in Cambridgeshire. Every person who turns up is counted — by the press, by the police, by the MPs who read the numbers, and by the company behind the gate.

2 · Take it to your community
Organise something where you live
Most people still have no idea this is happening in Britain. The single most powerful thing you can do is talk to people, face to face, in your own town. You don’t need permission to care, and you don’t need to travel to Cambridgeshire — bring it to where you live, and tell us so it goes on the calendar.
Ideas that work
A solidarity walk
Pick a day, pick a route through your town, tell us the time and meeting point, and it goes on the march timeline for others to join.
Street stalls
A table on the high street with leaflets, the open letter on a tablet, and a QR code to write to their MP. Saturday mornings are gold.
Stalls at local shows
County shows, food festivals, fêtes, farmers’ markets, vegan/veggie fairs, dog shows — anywhere crowds gather and dogs are loved.
Small peaceful demonstrations
A handful of people, clear placards, a friendly tone. Stay lawful and stay kind — it’s far more persuasive than anger.
Leafleting
Town centres, community noticeboards, vets’ waiting rooms (with permission), cafés and pet shops happy to display a card. Artwork is in the print pack.
Talks & screenings
A library room, community hall, university society or local group — 20 minutes on the facts and what people can do.
Keep it peaceful & lawful
- Stay on public land or get the landowner’s permission. Check whether your council needs notice for a stall or a street collection.
- Keep it calm, factual and friendly. We are an offer, not a threat — never target individuals, homes or staff.
- Use the facts on this site so every claim you make is one you can stand behind.
While you’re out there, point people to the wider movement too — Camp Beagle and the MBR Suppliers campaign (below). The more people see how many of us there are, the more real this feels.

Write to your MP
Our tool finds your MP from your postcode and gives you a letter you can send in two minutes. Choose the angle that matters most to you:
- Beagle breeding & testing — and why the Government’s slow “phase-out” of animal testing doesn’t have to mean waiting to end this.
- The “national infrastructure” question — why is a dog breeder given protections meant for power stations and hospitals?
- Animal welfare (ASRU) — conditions inside MBR, and the dogs left in extreme heat through the heatwaves.

Read the open letter
We wrote to MBR Acres in public and in good faith, offering to meet on their terms. Thousands put their names to it. They let the deadline pass without a word — and that silence is now part of the public record. Signing has closed, but the letter is still the clearest statement of what this campaign is asking for.

Campaign to Ban Animal Testing & Research in the UK
A public Facebook community for people calling for an end to animal testing and research in the UK. A good place to share what we’re doing, keep up with news across the movement, and talk to people who already care.

A dedicated campaign engaging the companies that supply MBR Acres — dozens have already chosen to walk away. If supply-chain work is your thing, support theirs directly.

Animals International’s campaign to end animal toxicity testing — behind the first major exposé of UK toxicity labs in a decade, with photo and video evidence of what happens behind closed doors. If the science and the secrecy are what drive you, follow their work.
Animal Rising
A national animal-advocacy movement whose “Free the MBR Beagles” campaign calls for MBR Acres to close and for an end to animal testing in the UK — carrying the same message to a huge audience.
Camp Beagle
The continuous, lawful vigil that has stood outside the gates of MBR Acres since June 2021 — more than five years. Follow them, support them, visit if you can.
