Copy signature pastes the formatted version straight into your email app. Copy HTML code is for providers whose signature box asks for HTML source.

Where to paste it

Gmail

Settings (gear) → See all settings → General → Signature → Create new. Click into the box and paste (Ctrl/Cmd+V). Save changes at the bottom.

Outlook / Microsoft 365

Settings → Mail → Compose and reply (or Signatures). Click into the signature box and paste. Save.

Apple Mail

Mail → Settings → Signatures → add one, then paste into the box. Untick “Always match my default message font” so the formatting sticks.

Anything else

Wherever the provider lets you edit a signature, click into the box and paste. If pasting looks plain, use “Copy HTML code” and look for an HTML/source option.

Tip: if a paste ever comes out unstyled, undo, use Copy HTML code, and paste it into the provider’s HTML/source view instead.
